1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
# بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1
$ 1694 Dishonest trading 83:1-17
83:1 Woe to the diminishers,
# وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ 1
83:2 who, when people measure for them, take full measure,
# الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ 2
83:3 but when they measure or weigh for others, they reduce!
# وَإِذَا كَالُوَهُمْ أَو وَزَنُوَهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ 3
83:4 Do they not think that they will be resurrected
# أَلاَ يَظُنُّ أُوْلَئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ 4
83:5 for a great Day,
# لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ 5
83:6 the Day when people will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
# يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ العَالَمِينَ 6
83:7 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen.
# كَلاَّ إِنَّ كِتَابَ الفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ 7
83:8 What could let you know what the Sijjeen is!
# وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ 8
83:9 (It is) a marked Book.
# كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ 9
83:10 Woe on that Day to those who belied it,
# وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ 10
83:11 who belied the Day of Recompense!
# الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ 11
83:12 None belies it except every guilty sinner.
# وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلاَّ كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ 12
83:13 When Our verses are recited to him, he says, 'Fictitious tales of the ancients!'
# إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الأَوَّلِينَ 13
83:14 No indeed! Their own deeds have cast a veil over their hearts.
# كَلاَّ بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ 14
83:15 No, indeed on that Day they shall be veiled from their Lord.
# كَلاَّ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ 15
83:16 Then they shall roast in Hell,
# ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الجَحِيمِ 16
83:17 and it will be said to them, 'This is that which you belied!'
# ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ 17
